Natchez Literary & Cinema Celebration
Begun in 1990 by Copiah-Lincoln Community College and sponsored now by Copiah-Lincoln, Natchez National Historical Park, Mississippi Department of Archives and History, and Mississippi Public Broadcasting, the Celebration annually presents a theme based lecture series enhanced by films, field trips, workshops, exhibits, book signings, concerts, and discussions.
The 33rd Annual Celebration takes place February 24-26, 2022. Using the theme, "Mississippi: A Tapestry of American Life," the conference will educate, interpret, and explore the complexion of the indigenous, European, and African cultures which is a microcosm of American History. Also exploring the rich heritage in Southern Studies, justice/racism, economics, fiction, film, music, and art.
