Are you ready for Balloon Race 2017?
It's October and we are quickly filling up with reservations for this year's Natchez Balloon Race & Festival!
This isn't really so surprising. The Annual Natchez Balloon Race is in its 32nd year, and quickly gained its place as a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
The Festival is about so much more than just the Race. The Arts & Crafts Fair is going to be bigger than ever this year. The Fair will feature local artists as well as talents from around the South displaying their original creations for you to make a part of your home.
Bigger and better this year will be the musical lineup! Railroad Earth is headlining, a favorite for all ages. The ever-popular Dirty Dozen Brass Band coming up from New Orleans sure to wow the crowd. Marc Broussard, Jumpin' Johnny Sansone, Brint Anderson & The Bluff City Revue, Darcy Malone & The Tangle, Flowtribe, Damon J. Batiste's Jazz Tribute To Cuba, and Zydeco Radio will all be performing. It's going to be a wild, loud, fun weekend with lots of dancing! The food booths on the performing grounds are always delicious as well.
A word to first-time attendees to the Balloon Race: do sign up with the Natchez Democrat for their instant text-message updates. The Balloons are subject to the whims of weather, and can't always launch by the River. These text updates will let you be aware of what is happening and where, so you can follow the balloons on their flight path.
Go to our Reservations page to book a room at the Natchez Grand Hotel before they're all gone!
